GGPoker bans HUDs and trackers: what is still allowed, and what to do now
Since October 15, 2026, no HUD, tracker or other third-party poker tool may run while GGPoker is open. Here is what the rule covers, what you can still use, what it means for your hand histories and your Hand2Note or PokerTracker 4 licence, and how to keep improving without a HUD.
GGPoker announcement, Security & Ecology Policy and press coverage checked on .
Short answer
- Banned: every third-party poker tool running alongside GGPoker, including PokerTracker 4, Hand2Note, Holdem Manager 3, DriveHUD 2, Equilab and AutoHotkey. Close them fully before you launch the client.
- GGPoker says automatic detection and in-client warnings start on December 1, 2026. The rule itself has applied since October 15, 2026.
- Still allowed: GGPokerâs own Smart HUD and PokerCraft, and study tools used away from the tables with the client closed.
- Your GGPoker hands stay in PokerCraft: GGPokerâs policy also forbids importing them into a third-party tool.
Free plan, no time limit. Use it between sessions, never while you play.

What GGPoker banned
GGPoker used to tolerate trackers and HUDs that did not affect gameplay. After a security incident in which high-stakes players were spied on through compromised third-party software, it banned every third-party poker tool and automation tool on its client.
Tools named by GGPoker
- Jurojin
- PokerTracker 4
- Hand2Note
- Holdem Manager 3
- StarsCaption
- DriveHUD 2
- Intuitive Tables
- Lobbyze
- Equilab
- AutoHotkey
and any other third-party poker software or automation tool (the list is not exhaustive)
Disabling the HUD is not enough: GGPoker asks you to fully close these applications, background processes included, before you launch its client.
The rule targets tools that read game data or interact with your tables: trackers, HUDs, table managers, equity calculators and macro tools. GGPokerâs Security & Ecology Policy goes further and bans âany external software that supports, interacts with, augments, or manipulates a clientâ.
Dates and enforcement
The ban applies now. What changes on December 1, 2026 is detection.

What is still allowed
GGPoker bans third-party tools that run alongside its client, not studying poker. This is what stays possible:
GGPokerâs own tools
Smart HUD (stats on opponents, built into the tables) and PokerCraft (your results, stats and hand replays) are part of GGPoker, so they are not third-party tools.
Window management from your operating system
Tools such as PowerToys (Windows) or Rectangle (macOS) are not treated as third-party poker tools, according to GGPokerâs follow-up statement. AutoHotkey and poker table managers are banned.
General-purpose software
The policy allows general-purpose utilities only if they run completely independently of the client and do not help you play.
Study away from the tables
Solvers, trainers and courses used in separate study sessions, with GGPoker closed. GTO Wizard is not in GGPokerâs list; the two companies have worked together against real-time assistance since March 2025.
Never open a study tool, a solver or a chart while you play: the policy treats it as real-time assistance, punished by a permanent ban and confiscation of funds. Section 2.3: âReferring to charts of any kind during play is strictly prohibited.â
Your GGPoker hand histories
This is the part many players miss. Closing your tracker during play is not enough to stay within the rules: the policy also covers what you do with your hands afterwards.
- Section 7.2
- Importing hand histories is allowed only to track your own play and results, and no third-party tool may import or convert hand histories from the tables or from PokerCraft.
- Section 7.3
- You may not give anyone access to your PokerCraft data or share your own hand histories with another party.
- Section 7.1
- Collecting hand histories other than your own is data mining, punished by losing PokerCraft access, a permanent ban and confiscation of funds.
Our reading: importing your GGPoker hands into Hand2Note or PokerTracker 4, even after the session, now goes against the policy. The wording names no exception for other tools either, including hand analysers.
Review your GGPoker hands in PokerCraftâs replayer, then look up the spots that bother you yourself in a solution library. You study the decision, not the file.
What to do with your Hand2Note or PokerTracker 4 licence
If GGPoker was your only room, the tracker has lost its main use. If you play elsewhere too, it still works there.
01
Use it on the rooms that allow trackers
PokerStars, Winamax, iPoker, WPN, 888 and partypoker still accept trackers, each with its own HUD rules (below).
02
Review your hands from those rooms
Filters, reports and leak finding work on the hands you play there. Keep doing that review away from the tables.
03
GGPoker only? Do not renew for it
Hand2Note is a yearly subscription (from $15.99 a month, billed yearly) with a 7-day refund if you are not satisfied. PokerTracker 4 is a one-off licence that stays yours for other rooms. Do not buy or renew either of them to play on GGPoker.
Where trackers are still allowed (checked on November 1, 2026)
- PokerStars
- Trackers allowed; stats that change automatically with the game state are banned. Hand2Note switches its dynamic and positional HUDs off there; the static HUD, notes and popups stay.
- Winamax
- Trackers allowed (PokerTracker and Holdem Manager are named); solvers, ICM and equity calculators and some dynamic Hand2Note features are banned.
- iPoker, WPN, 888, partypoker
- Hand2Note imports hand histories from these networks automatically; read each roomâs current rules before you set up a HUD.
Rules change: read your roomâs current terms before you install a HUD.
Playing on other rooms? Hand2Note
For the rooms above, Hand2Note gives you the most detailed HUD and reports, with a 14-day free trial. Code H2NKFUG takes 10% off your first purchase. Not for GGPoker: close it before you open the GGPoker client.

How to keep improving without a HUD
A HUD helped you spot leaks in your opponents. Without one on GGPoker, the edge moves to your own decisions, and those you work on away from the tables.
- 1
Pick two or three hands after each session
In PokerCraft, keep the hands where you hesitated or lost a big pot. Write down the spot: positions, stacks, board, bet sizes.
- 2
Look the spot up in a solution library
In GTO Wizard, find the same spot and compare your line with the solution. The free plan gives you 100 preflop spots and 1 postflop spot a day.
- 3
Drill it until it is automatic
Replay the spot in the Trainer (10 hands a day on the free plan). Decisions you have drilled do not need a HUD.
- 4
Play against the population, not the stats
Without per-player stats, rely on how the player pool at your stakes plays: who calls too much, who rarely bluffs the river. Note-taking and Smart HUD stay available in the client.
GTO Wizard is a study tool: close it before you open any poker client.
Free plan, no time limit. Use it between sessions, never while you play.

Can I still use a HUD on GGPoker?
Only GGPokerâs own Smart HUD. Third-party HUDs and trackers (PokerTracker 4, Hand2Note, Holdem Manager 3, DriveHUD 2 and others) have been banned since October 15, 2026 and must be fully closed before you launch the client.
Can I use Hand2Note or PokerTracker 4 on GGPoker if I close them while I play?
Closing them while you play is required, but it does not make them usable for GGPoker: section 7.2 of the policy also forbids importing or converting your GGPoker hand histories in a third-party tool. Keep them for the other rooms you play on.
When does GGPoker start detecting third-party tools?
According to a GGPoker statement relayed by the poker press, automatic detection and in-client warnings start on December 1, 2026, after a transition period without automatic warnings. The ban itself has applied since October 15, 2026.
What happens if GGPoker detects a banned program?
You get a warning in the client and must close the program at once. Repeated warnings without a valid explanation can lead to account restrictions, up to a permanent ban. If you think a warning is wrong, contact GGPokerâs security team.
Is GTO Wizard banned on GGPoker?
GTO Wizard is not in the list of banned tools, and GGPoker has worked with GTO Wizard against real-time assistance since March 2025. Use it only to study between sessions, with GGPoker closed: using any solver while you play is real-time assistance, punished by a permanent ban.
Can I keep a push/fold or preflop chart open while I play on GGPoker?
No. Section 2.3 of the policy says that referring to charts of any kind during play is strictly prohibited. Learn the ranges between sessions instead.
Free push/fold chart to studyShould I cancel my Hand2Note subscription?
If you only played on GGPoker, there is no point renewing it, and a new subscription can be refunded within 7 days. If you also play on PokerStars, Winamax, iPoker or other rooms that allow trackers, keep it for those rooms.
Can I still download my hands from PokerCraft?
Yes, to track your own play. What the policy forbids is importing or converting them in a third-party tool (section 7.2) and sharing them with anyone (section 7.3).
Keep studying, off the tables
GGPoker took the HUD away, not the study. A free GTO Wizard account is enough to work on the spots you meet, between sessions.
