One spot, two ways to study it
A study exercise
Your top pair faces a raise
You bet the flop and your opponent raises. Before checking the analysis, write down the strong hands and draws you assign to them, then explain why you would call or fold.
The goal is to understand the options through ranges. This example describes a session; it does not present solver results.
With GTO Wizard
Find a solution with comparable positions, stacks and bet sizes. Look at the entire range facing the raise: which hands continue, which fold and which can raise again? Then practise this theme in the Trainer.
With GTO+
Build the spot with your ranges, pot, stacks and the actions you want to study. After solving, explore the response to the raise. You can then change one range assumption, keep everything else the same and compare the solutions.
Finish with a sentence to test in your next session: “When facing a raise, I look at the hands in both ranges before judging my top pair.” This gives you a concrete study question.

What is the main difference between GTO Wizard and GTO+?
GTO Wizard lets you explore solutions and practise in the browser, within your plan’s coverage. With GTO+, you build a postflop scenario, set ranges and actions, then solve it on Windows. The choice mainly concerns how much preparation you want to put into each study.
Can I train with GTO+ as I can with GTO Wizard?
Both let you practise decisions. GTO Wizard provides situations in its Trainer. GTO+ uses a solved tree or solution database in Play against the solution mode, connecting practice to the analyses you prepared.
Which tool should I choose on Mac?
GTO Wizard runs in your browser. GTO+ is Windows software and uses your PC’s resources for calculations. To study directly on a Mac without installing a Windows environment, GTO Wizard’s web access is the simpler of the two.
Is GTO+’s one-time payment enough to decide?
The USD 75 licence is an advantage for regular use, with updates included. Also consider the time needed to prepare ranges and trees, along with your PC. GTO Wizard supports a different workflow: a subscription for exploring the solutions in your plan and practising in the browser.
